Many Voices Speak is the project of Matilda Mård, an artist whose heart-aching dream-pop has won fans all over the world since the release of her debut single “Video Child” back in 2016.

After losing her way as a musician while living in the Swedish capital Stockholm, Mård moved north to Dalarna. In that quieter, small-town atmosphere, she began writing the songs that would become Many Voices Speak.
Following the release of her debut EP “Away For All Time”, a cover of the Rodgers and Hart classic “Blue Moon” brought her international attention, fittingly for a song that resonated strongly with Mård’s musical DNA, possessed of a melancholic elegance that runs through her own work. Her debut album Tank Town delivered on that early promise, drawing praise from Stereogum and The Line Of Best Fit, and taking Mård out on tour across Europe with shows in Germany, Denmark and London.

Now having relocated to Stockholm again, via a spell in Berlin, Mård is back with a new album, Gestures. It’s a mature, rewarding evolution of Many Voices Speak, one that explores new possibilities of what the project can be, while also staying true to what made it shine in the first place.

The new album ‘Gestures’ is out April 29th 2022 via Strangers Candy.
